From the lightest, sandiest soils in the Gras Châteauneuf stable, the 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Saintes Vierges is predominantly made from Grenache (80%), complemented by Mourvèdre (18%) and a touch of Cousoise (2%). Reflecting its terroir, this wine stands out as the most perfumed of the trio this vintage, boasting floral aromas reminiscent of roses, along with a captivating blend of spices and herbs. On the palate, it feels lighter than its 14% alcohol content suggests, delivering a graceful interplay of red berries and delicate tannins that linger elegantly on the finish.
