“Song by Bong” Bordeaux 2020 exhibits a deep purple color with a violet colour and a dark black core, hinting at its concentrated nature. On the nose, it gives aromas of ripe black cherries, blackberries, and elderberry jam, layered with a hints of smoked bacon, aromatic herbs, and a touch of liquorice in the background. The palate unveils firm yet ripe tannins, contributing to a rich and juicy mouthfeel. The fruit is well-structured, showcasing both freshness and depth, leading to a convincing length on the finish.

“La Marie” is a special cuvée from Domaine Claude Dugat, originating from a small plot located at the foot of the Gevrey-Chambertin castle. It was first isolated in 2018 to highlight its exceptional terroir. “La Marie” is a wine of great finesse and complexity, offering a floral and fruity nose with hints of Morello cherry, raspberry, rose, and peony. On the palate, it is flavorful and velvety, with a fruity and pulpy texture. The tannins are crisp, and the finish is fresh and spicy, with hints of menthol and vanilla. It’s a charming and approachable wine that can be enjoyed young or aged for a few years.

The wine has a deep purple color. The intense aroma offers notes of red and black fruits like blackcurrant, strawberry, and violet. On the palate, there are flavors of blackcurrant with light tannins. The finish is long and delicately spicy, with hints of pepper.

Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru, crafted solely from Pinot Noir grapes, sourced from two parcels within Domaine des Epeneaux, owned by the family of Comte Armand. These 7.5 hectares of vines are cultivated without herbicides, following the lunar cycle, ensuring exceptional quality. The wine blends the finest parcels, “Les Breterins” for advanced maturity and fruitiness and “Les Duresses” for density and tannic structure, resulting in a serious and powerful wine capable of aging gracefully. Aged for 18 months, with 25% new oak barrels.

The Clos des Epeneaux is among the ten largest monopolies in premier cru or grand cru of the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, with a unique geology compared to its neighbors. The wines it produces are known for their combination of power and finesse, showcasing the best of Pinot Noir, along with characteristic spicy notes. Vinification involves 100% destemming but non-crushing to preserve whole berries, followed by a three-phase maceration process lasting around 4 weeks to achieve a stable and harmonious structure. Aging occurs for 18 to 24 months in oak barrels, with 30% new oak for the old vines of the Clos des Epeneaux.
