Sélèque’s latest NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Quintette features 20% foudre-aged reserve wines from a solera. With aromas of hazelnuts, flowers, crisp pear, and almonds, it offers a medium to full-bodied palate, showcasing an ample, fleshy fruit core and a layered, pillowy texture. The wine’s natural residual sugar of three or four grams eliminates the need for additional dosage.

Piuze’s Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons Les Minots shows the aromas of pear, honeycomb, and dried white flowers. This medium to full-bodied wine is fleshy and charming, with a seamless and enveloping texture, making it highly appealing even in its youth.

Piuze’s latest release, the 2022 Chablis La Butte “O,” hails from the Butteaux lieu-dit, just outside the premier cru area. It presents enticing aromas of pear, toasted nuts, bee pollen, white flowers, and a youthful reduction. Medium to full-bodied, with a satiny texture and precise acidity, it culminates in a long, mineral-driven finish.

South of the village of Meursault, near Puligny and 500 meters below the Meursault-Charmes 1er Cru, one could find the vineyard of “Les Grandes Gouttes”. This cool-climats location produces a refined wine with citrus notes, a pleasant acidity, and often hints of flint. The cuvée Les Grandes Gouttes is 100% Chardonnay primarily aged in stainless steel tanks. On the nose, lemon and iodine notes prevail. On the palate, it has a crisp attack, good acidity, and a salty finish.

The parcel “Combe Bazin” located at an altitude of 400 meters in the region of Saint Romain, with its 90-year-old vines on a limestone slope, yields a dense and balanced wine thanks to its low yields. It’s round and creamy with subtle acidity and delicate minerality.
